Iowa Corn Website Redesign Leads with UX
The Work
Iowa Corn is dedicated to unlocking the potential of Iowa corn as a state and global feed, food, and fuel source and building awareness and demand for it among Iowa consumers. Their website was nearing a decade old, had over 250 pages of information and was not optimized for search engines. We took it down to the digital studs and rebuilt something better able to meet the needs of its farmer members and Iowa consumers.
Approach
MorganMyers restructured the Iowa Corn website around audience needs, simplifying navigation, updating content and improving SEO to make information easier to find. An interactive homepage feature also gives visitors a more personalized experience, encouraging deeper engagement with the site.
Creating Distinct Journeys for Every Audience
To improve user experience and relevancy to both the consumer and farmer audiences, a dual navigation is created. Website visitors can choose their own adventure by clicking into either the farmer or consumer version of the website.
Making Content More Discoverable
The consumer top navigation includes drop-downs with educational resources about corn ethanol and products, farming practices, and more. The farmer top navigation includes drop-downs for membership, production practices, building demand and other relevant resources. The new website is built with a mobile-first design to ensure improved readability and SEO value.
