With a love for agriculture and food that’s deeply personal, Topanga Dailey holds degrees in both ag communications and culinary arts. The granddaughter of a dairyman, she grew up on a hobby farm in Severance, Colorado, raising Milking Shorthorns and showing dairy cows for 4-H. Her varied passions in the ag space have led to unique experiences — like working for a farm-to-table restaurant that has its own creamery — as well as numerous ag marketing roles. At MorganMyers, Topanga gets to do exactly what she loves: helping food and ag clients drive awareness through effective SEO and digital content strategy, connecting the people who grow food with those who consume it. In her free time, you’ll find Topanga helping her husband farm wheat, soybeans and milo (sorghum) in McPherson, Kansas.

WHAT MOVES ME?

It’s important to me to do work that is meaningful — I don’t want to just add more clutter into the world. Agriculture and food are key to our survival, and it’s extra personal to me because my family and friends all work in these industries.

I have a particular passion for food and what an incredible medium it is — it’s emotional, it’s personal, it’s experiential, it’s tied into our traditions, it’s part of our cultures and identities. Food allows us to understand each other in a way that words fail to do.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

• If I won the lottery tomorrow, I would start a Food Hall/Culinary School/Catering Kitchen/Test Kitchen/Event Space/Coworking Space. An ultimate center dedicated to the food of the Great Plains region.
• If I didn’t already work at the best company ever, I would probably be a college academic advisor at a two-year school or a high school. I love helping people break whatever career stigmas they were raised on and problem-solving how to accomplish their goals with the resources at hand.
• I want to be remembered by people for the following: being understanding and giving grace, being encouraging and supportive.
• Three items on my bucket list are: compete on a competition reality TV show, publish a cookbook, start a business.
