If there’s something Kim could passionately talk about all day long, it’s strategy. Even after her upbringing on a north-central Iowa farm, a degree in ag journalism from Iowa State and a decades-long career building strong communication programs for high-level clients, Kim still finds each day different and exciting. As the branding queen, Kim spends any given day lending her talent and expertise to multiple client projects. She’s driven by curiosity, fueled by coffee, focused on strategy and supported by her irrepressible sense of humor. Kim comes to the table with a rare combo of natural intuition and earned experience that enable her to connect the dots and build strong brands. She is key to defining the strategic direction – including positioning and messaging – that drives the creative ideas to move our clients.

WHAT MOVES ME?

I’m moved by genuine, unheralded acts of kindness and compassion, whether life-changing or in-the-moment changing. I’m honored when a client is moved enough to make a call or send a note to express their delight with a brand campaign or specific tactic.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

  • Explain someone I admire and why: My mother. She was the first female chairman of the Iowa Corn Promotion Board. They called her Iron Helen. She was smart, quick-witted and tough.
  • Volunteer/passion projects I love to work on outside of work include breast cancer awareness/research fundraising. It’s personal for my family.
  • If I could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, I would be watching the sunset on a beach in Maui.
  • I want to be remembered by people for (hopefully) the person I was, not the work I did.
