Tim Oliver

Managing Director, MorganMyers

It’s no coincidence Tim’s name is one letter short of spelling “time”. As one of our fearless leaders, Tim has an innate ability to stay calm, build consensus, focus on what’s important – and keep us all moving. And to make a great pot of coffee. He grew up in Bancroft, Iowa, and earned an A.A. from Indian Hills Community College and his B.S. in journalism and mass communications from Iowa State University. Tim has worked as a bartender, a grocery clerk and as a gandy dancer for the Chicago North Western Railroad. He has communications experience in animal health, agronomics and vegetable seed. Immediately before joining MM he was director of communications for Asgrow Seed Company. He takes pride in being on teams that change agriculture and improve the ability of farmers to feed a growing world while working for alignment with consumer expectations.

WHAT MOVES ME?

Being on a great team. If I’m a team member I want to do meaningful work and be challenged to reach higher. If I’m the lead I love watching an environment I helped create result in successful outcomes and fulfilled team members.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

  • One of my favorite quotes is: “If you don’t take change by the hand, it will take you by the throat.” –Winston Churchill.
  • One of the craziest experiences in my life in 10 words or less: Nurse shark pinned me to cave roof while scuba diving.
  • Explain someone I admire and why: Michelle, my wife. She loves learning and can line up and execute against her objectives as well as anyone I know.
  • If I could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, I would be engaged in a sporting activity outdoors with friends.
