Growing up in the small town of Pond Creek, Oklahoma, Katy was surrounded by farm life and dreamt of a career in food and agriculture with “her people.” While she is two generations removed from farming, she has always been immersed in ag, showing cattle and participating in FFA. Now Katy combines her expertise in videography and social media strategy — along with her love of TikTok trends — with her passion for bridging the gap between producers and consumers. Her typical day involves editing videos and developing social media content that connects with and engages a wide variety of audiences.

Bringing the stories of people in agriculture to life. Farmers and ranchers are some of the best people I have ever met, and I want all generations to feel confident in the industry that feeds them.

• The best piece of advice I’ve ever gotten is: Tough times don’t last, but tough people do.
• If I could invent a holiday, it would definitely involve “National Treat Yourself Day.” I’m a big advocate of celebrating the big and small wins!
• The most inspiring part of my job is the people! I feel so motivated by working with such a talented and skilled group of co-workers.
• Volunteer/passion projects I love to work on outside of work include I have spent three years doing wedding/portrait photography. I love capturing special moments in people’s lives that they will cherish for years to come.
