Kate Giess
Driven by a desire to help move the ag industry forward, Kate Giess approaches both life and work through her core values: courage, commitment, compassion, communication.
A fourth-generation rancher originally from western Kansas, she holds a B.S. in agricultural communications from Kansas State University. At MorganMyers, Kate does the heavy lifting to make sure a client’s brand story is seen and heard through effective content marketing and digital strategy.
Kate is lifelong learner, keeping her schedule full of passion projects outside of work — like helping with her family’s backgrounding operation and her husband’s seedstock operation.
Somehow, she also makes time for running half marathons and skiing but is quick to admit that nothing beats slowing down to sip a hot cup of coffee on a Saturday morning with her husband.
WHAT MOVES ME?
I love waking up every day and choosing to surround myself with intelligent and inspiring people. My parents taught me their hard work ethic and my husband, Lane, inspires me every day to be a committed lifelong learner.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME:
- In another life, I’m pretty sure I was a I love studying weather and have 10 weather apps on my phone. (I could talk all day about the different types of clouds.)
- Things I enjoy doing when I’m not working: Being outside — probably going for a run — or spending time with my husband and our corgi, Sully.
- This might surprise you about me: I graduated high school with a class of five.
- Passion projects I love to work on outside of work include helping my family plan and market their annual spring bull sale every year!
- If I were a superhero, my superpower would be to get 10 hours of sleep in one hour.
