Erin Hilke-Wicker
Curious, committed and compassionate. Those three words tell you a lot about Erin Hilke-Wicker. Her career has included roles in journalism, advertising and public relations, and through them all her farm roots and passion for animal health and agriculture has been a common thread. In fact, MorganMyers’ focus on agriculture and animal health is what drew her to the agency. Knowing her work supports healthier animals and resilient rural communities keeps Erin engaged.
A life-long learner, Erin thrives in the ever-changing world of agriculture. She loves the challenge of helping clients navigate change and tell their stories. From building client relationships to executing campaigns to staying on top of industry trends and using storytelling to translate complex topics into messages that resonate with ag audiences — every day is different, and that’s just how Erin likes it.
WHAT MOVES YOU?
I’m deeply rooted in agriculture. I want to see the industry succeed — my family farm, my clients, and American farmers and ranchers as a whole. I’m driven by the challenges of communicating complex topics, learning and pivoting in a fast-paced industry, and problem-solving on behalf of clients.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME:
- One of my favorite quotes is: “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” -Maya Angelou
- When I’m not working, I enjoy:
- Spending quality time with my husband Cody and son William
- Farming
- Horseback riding
- Getting outdoors
- Cooking, reading and gardening — when I can find the time!
- When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be a livestock veterinarian when I grew up.
My obsession with the idea of being an animal doctor lasted until I took a college course in organic chemistry.
- One goal I have for the next year is to finish (most of) my current house projects before taking on any new ones. When you’re working on a 100-year old farmhouse, there’s always another project around the corner.
